Frequently asked questions

Straight answers to the questions we hear most, from how the day runs and what your entry includes to what to bring, prizes and where to stay.

  • What is the Lefkara Classic?

It is an endurance road sportive through the Cypriot mountains, put on by the riders who run The Agora Hotel in Pano Lefkara. You ride on open public roads, your ride is officially timed, and you take your place in the results. It is the island’s toughest one-day event, and the day finishes back at the hotel with pizza, beer and a party for everyone who rolls in.

  • When and where does it start?

The roll-out is at 06:30 on Sunday 15 November 2026, from The Agora Hotel, Pano Lefkara, Cyprus. Both routes set off together at first light. There is a free municipal car park a few metres from the start in Pano Lefkara.

  • What routes are offered and how long are they?

Two routes, both starting and finishing at The Agora Hotel. The Grand is the flagship at 166 km with 4,750 m of climbing. The Demi traces a shorter line over the same roads at 74 km and 2,000 m. Both routes are provisional until the start. You can see the elevation profiles on the routes page.

  • How much does it cost and what is included?

Entry is per route and priced in two tiers: early-bird until 30 June 2026, then standard from 1 July 2026. Early-bird is €60 for the Grand and €40 for the Demi; from 1 July it is €80 and €60. Your entry includes official timing and your place in the results, multiple feed stations on course, a finisher medal, a custom participant t-shirt, on-site events through race week, pizza and beer at the finish, and on-route and finish-line photographs.

  • How do I register and pay?

Registration is online. Pick your route, enter your details and pay securely by card, and you are in. Online entries close on Thursday 12 November, and there is no sign-up on event day, so enter before then. Register here.

  • Will I get a confirmation?

Yes. As soon as your payment goes through we send a confirmation email with your entry details. If it does not arrive, check your spam folder, then get in touch and we will sort it out.

  • Are there checkpoints and cut-off times?

Yes. There are official checkpoints on course, and you must cross each one within its cut-off time. Miss a cut-off and your time is no longer scored, and you are no longer an official finisher. The cut-off times are still to be announced and will be published before event day.

  • What should I bring?

A road bike in good working order and a helmet, which you must wear at all times. The full course is not marked, only a few key points, so it is each rider’s responsibility to load the route onto a GPS device before the start. No e-bikes or pedal-assist bikes, and no flat-bar bikes such as mountain bikes. You ride self-supported, so come self-sufficient: carry enough liquids, gels and food, plus the tools and spares to handle a puncture or roadside repair, to get yourself through the route. The feed stations on course are there to top you up, not to replace what you carry. Come ready for a long day on open roads, and respect the Cyprus Highway Code throughout.

  • Is there bike rental?

Details will be confirmed closer to the event. If you need a bike for event weekend, get in touch at hello@lefkaraclassic.com and we will let you know what we can arrange.

  • Where do I stay?

The start and finish line is the front door of The Agora Hotel in Pano Lefkara, so staying there means no early drive and no transfer. We are also putting together a short list of other hotels and Airbnbs around Lefkara for event weekend. See the stay page for the details.

  • Are there prizes?

There are podium prizes for the top three men and top three women on each route, the Grand and the Demi. There are no separate age-group podiums, but the results let you find how you placed in your age group. On top of that, the fastest man and woman on the timed segment each win a night at The Agora Hotel.

  • How is timing and results handled?

Your ride is officially timed and you get your place in the results. The timed-segment winners are settled from the Strava times once they are in. A Strava group event for 2026 is on the way, and results and photos land on our channels first.

  • What is the refund or transfer policy?

Entries are non-refundable. If your plans change we cannot refund the fee, and your entry cannot be carried over or credited to the following year, so please be sure before you register. The full wording is in the cancellation and refunds section of our terms and conditions.

  • Who do I contact with questions?
