Run by riders
The Lefkara Classic is put on by the three of us, Aleks, Kasper and Nico, the people who run The Agora Hotel and ride these roads every week of the year.
Who we are
Three riders, one race
We are Aleks, Kasper and Nico. Avid cyclists and racers, ride guides, and nature and outdoor people before anything else, and the three who run The Agora Hotel in Pano Lefkara. The Lefkara Classic is ours end to end: we plan it, mark it, ride it, and pour the beer at the finish.
Between the three of us we have spent years on these roads, in club kit and off the front, showing guests the lines we love and hunting new ones on our days off. The race is those same roads, strung into one honest day.
Why we built it
To show the world our roads
We started the race for one reason: to show the world the riding we have on our doorstep, and the roads around Lefkara in particular. Safe, quiet tarmac, amazing scenery, and challenging mountain terrain that climbs from the village deep into the Troodos and drops back toward the sea.
This is one of the best places to ride a bike anywhere in the Mediterranean, and hardly anyone knows it yet. The Lefkara Classic is how we tell that story, one rider and one big day at a time.
